@ Devil’s Elbow. Big fruity aroma, mellow pale malts, light body, good citrus. OK.

Hazy dark amber-red color with compact head. A bit of caramel, that’s all this beer has to offer; mild woody bitterness in the final. No malt depth, no hop quality.
Extremely boring Amber Ale.

Blond color, clean. It has a light aroma of citrus fruits. The mouthfeel is dry, there is a light creamy taste (?) and the kalamansi is not cohesive at all.
Everybody has a fruit beer for the summer in Vancouver, Howe Sound wanted to play the card of originality…

On cask at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite restrained, with notes of subtle resinous dry hopping and light caramel bready malt. Flavour is really dull, with earthy cardboardy-like hops atop stale bready malt. Not sure what was intended here, but this is way off. Not good.

On cask at St. Augustine's, pours s clear pale blonde with a medium off-white head. Aroma is dominated by the calamansi, with a very juicy citrusy nose. Flavour is a little more restrained, with lots of citrusy tartness upfront, followed by biscuity malt. Not robust at all, but easy drinking. Decent.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grape must upfront, along with citrus hops. Flavour is very perfumey, with lots of perfumey floral hops, a little nail polish remover, and some citrus. Way too perfumey and cosmetic like. Not impressive.

On tap. Pours a dark clear brown with moderate foamy head. Aromas of bready malts. Flavors of wet barley malts, toast, salted nuts and light freshly ground coffee. Ok

650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy copper with very light head. Aromas of wine gums and jammy tropical fruit. Flavors of bitter orange marmalade, more wine gums, dried stoned fruit and dry pine. A bit of a jumble but interesting, and tasty in a fruity way.

Draught at Big Rock Urban Brewery, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color, dull, small head. There are some resins but the hop qualities are missing globally; there is some malt, but it has a mild earthy character; it’s a bit too yeasty, mostly the aroma, and it has a mild acidity, which could be due to the wine.
Very chaotic beer, a bit dirty, not too bad, but not delivering.

Has a medium brown colour. Thin head. Light smoke on the nose with some slightly fruity dark sugars. Similar palate - a somewhat fruity porter with vague smoke.
