On tap at Bitter Tasting Room. A little dirt fruits in the intensive aroma. Quite dirty taste. Hard to drink.

"Casks for Kwantlen" event, at BRB, Richmond
Dark amber color, just hazy, with small head. Aroma of malt, cardamom and Christmas spices. Very sweet, without the necessary bitter balance, some malt flavor, and evident spice, no rum. No booze.
Drinkable if you can stand sweet drinks, but it’s rather artificial in the construction, hardly a beer.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper color with moderate foamy head. Aromas of orange peels, tropical fruit and sweet malts. Flavors caramel, sweet malts, jammy yellow fruit, pineapple, and light pine. Chewy. Great.

light amber color. Huge caramel malt nose. The grapefruit is much better in the mouth. Pretty damn malty. Not that exciting. Mom’s comment. I think if I had a whole bottle I would be drinking medicine.

Bottle - Medium roast coffee. Clearish gold with a decent beige head. Roast coffee beans, toasty and chocolate notes with a nice light coffee finish. Decent, but nothing special.

Hazy amber color, the head is short lived. Very sweet and juicy, the alcohol tries to balance some of the sugars more than the bitterness does, and the hops have also a mild musky character; the choice of malt is quite good, it doesn’t cover too much the hops.
Pleasant, although the best examples of IIPA are drier and fruitier.

Hazy amber color with medium sized, short lived head. Resiny hops aroma, a lot of jam. Malt and caramel syrup; sweet but not too cloying; juicy orangey hops, a bit resiny; and the final is definitively warm.
Over the top, heavy to drink, but not badly brewed, can’t say this is a bad beer. Difficult one though.
One point less for the stupid price.

Bottle - Oily, syrupy orange sweetness. Dark orange gold with a small white head. Lots of citrus sweetness and peel. A bit over the top and too much citrus, but better than I expected.

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is intense, with notes of resinous hops, caramel malts and alcohol -- very abrasive. Flavour is abrasive, with stone red fruits, resinous hops, phenolic notes and sweet caramel malts. Super citrusy and sweet -- anything but restrained and balanced. Suffers from the fate of most IIIPAs: lacking balance and way too sweet. Decent, but difficult to drink and lacking any elegance.

Black color with tan compact head. The aroma is very mild, there is some cardboard and roasted malt. It has a good body strength, the mouthfeel is round, moderately sweet; strong flavor of roasted malt, some dark chocolate, a touch of roasted nuts and liquorice, and a tiny thing in the final that could be the barrel.
The whiskey is not very evident, for the rest, it’s a very solid beer.
