Description
Spookton started life as a result of an obsession for homebrewing modern craft beer. We launched in 2022 as a cuckoo brewery and we’re taking our next big step in early 2024 by opening our own microbrewery and tap room in the centre of Chester.

Can from Cork & Cask. Appearance - murky purple with a pinkish-white head. Nose - funky, funny dirty, smoky note. Blackberry is the main fruit. Taste - cleaner than the nose. Blackberry and sweet spice this time. Palate - medium bodied, tangy sour and funky finish. Overall - didn't smell great, then improved.

Can at ash's. Pours hazy pinkish, nose is savoury, cloying spice, blackberry, little musty, taste is juicy berry, nutmeg, allspice, slightly creamy.

Draft at BeerHeadZ, Lincoln. Pale and hazy golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are light fruity sweet and stone fruit. Medium body.

Can from the Black Toad. Appearance - deep brown to black and fairly opaque. Creamy, tan head. Nose - treacle, dark chocolate, pine with just a hint of orange or lime Taste - chocolate, raisins, liquorice and lime marmalade. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and a dry, roasty finish. Overall - what a really interesting beer. Very much closer to a hopped stout than an IPA, but super!

Can from Thirst Class Ale. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of tangerine and peach. Taste is a bit thin, light tropical fruit. Light bitter finish.
