Can from Cork & Cask. Appearance - murky purple with a pinkish-white head. Nose - funky, funny dirty, smoky note. Blackberry is the main fruit. Taste - cleaner than the nose. Blackberry and sweet spice this time. Palate - medium bodied, tangy sour and funky finish. Overall - didn't smell great, then improved.

Can from the Black Toad. Appearance - deep brown to black and fairly opaque. Creamy, tan head. Nose - treacle, dark chocolate, pine with just a hint of orange or lime Taste - chocolate, raisins, liquorice and lime marmalade. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and a dry, roasty finish. Overall - what a really interesting beer. Very much closer to a hopped stout than an IPA, but super!
