Description
Purchased by Tilray in 2022.
Our story started in 1998 with two friends who noticed a lack of fresh beer on Long Island and wanted to lower their bar tabs. We built a brewery on Long Island's South Shore in Patchogue, a tough and humble coastal town.
In 2014, Blue Point partnered with Anheuser-Busch, joining its family of craft brands in The High End business unit. Our operations, brewing and management team continue to be led from Patchogue, N.Y.
In 2019 we opened our new brewery on Patchogue's Main Street. This new facility will not only increase our brewing capacity, but will also lets beer lovers experience the people and place that inspire Blue Point every day. And we're pretty damn proud to be a part of that.

Notes from 7/1/2008. Continuing my recent tradition of foregoing a traditional lunch in place of beer, I choose something often overlooked. Always consistent & always on standby, this one deserved to be rated by now. So let's take up some less then precious company time to pump one out. Wouldn't it be nice to have a stipend to go along with all this drinking? :) Two inches of Yoo-Hoo head filled with shrapnel wounds of all sizes. It condenses down to a quarter-inch of porridge that is very content to stay where it is. Black is brown, brown is black, it's... uncertain. It's a stout, get over it. :P My nose grabs up coco powder, flour, & skim milk. Not much else to say here. I taste mild coffee with plenty of lactose. Coco in the background, & with maybe a little almond notion in there. Things end with a lightly sugared, bitter copper finish(and a hankering for more). Suddy, but if anything, a little light on the carbonation. Just thick enough as to not accidentally swallow the whole lot in one gulp. :D Really simple, really good.

Can at BRACT #1. Rather thin body, medium carbonation. Very low head retention. Medium bitterness, med-light sweetness. Moderate caramelly nutty maltiness, feels a bit oxidated too, a bit of apples. Overall pretty okay though, fitting into style, and drinkable, even if not the most sophisticated.

I don’t think we found our adult beverage store. This is from a place where no doubt someone has been shot.
