Description
IVO Brewery is a venture started in January 2020 by Charlie Abbott and Jason Jones, two neighbours living in Somersham, Cambridgeshire.

At IVO we pride ourselves on brewing beers that we would buy ourselves. With a focus on flavour, all of our beers are 100% vegan, true to style and full of taste.

7/2/2025. Cask at the 15th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma is ashy, chocolate, light roasted malt, dark fruits, fruity, liquorice. Moderate sweetness and roasted bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Very dry. Not bad.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is not the most pleasant. Slightly metallic, veg water, hints of citrus and malts. Taste has a metallic aftertaste. Not a fan.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of pineapple, peach, mango and orange zest. Taste is biter but slightly watery. The fruity hops do come through. Nice.

Cask at the Peterborough beer festival 2024. A a clear deep orange coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is woody orange, tea leaves, hint of smoke. Flavour is composed of earthy grains, grass, dirty farmyard hop, bark. Palate is semi dry grainy,

23/8/2023. Cask at the 44th Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours clear very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, lightly roasted, toffee, golden syrup, biscuit. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Nicely done.
