Half of gravity at the Hitchin Beer Festival. Everything I'd expect from a brown. Quite woody, lots of texture and a good dollop of farmyard. Pretty good.

6/2/2026. Cask at the 16th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Aroma is lemony, citrus, grassy, herbal, vanilla. Developed nicely. Lacked some body but pretty good.

7/2/2025. Cask at the 15th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear very dark brown with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma is ashy, chocolate, light roasted malt, dark fruits, fruity, liquorice. Moderate sweetness and roasted bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Very dry. Not bad.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is not the most pleasant. Slightly metallic, veg water, hints of citrus and malts. Taste has a metallic aftertaste. Not a fan.
