Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 16th October 2025. Golden amber with shallow foam and lacing bands. Sweet fruity aroma. Spiced fruitiness in-mouth akin to a Belgian blonde. Spiced maltiness and orchard fruits dominate the finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium body. Interesting.

Where I live the land is more suited to grazing than growing. This Arable hasn't really grown on me, Hazy golden with watery tropical-fruit notes that are not too appealing. Fine, but wouldn't be ordering a second.

One of my first cairn encounters was on reaching the top of Snowdon. Hazy towards dishwater-golden with its lack of head appearance. Mild fruity notes in both aroma and taste, its carbonation apparent, and its strength very easy and sessionable.

I've never had any 'Slate' in any pub I've often frequented, it's just a television myth to me. This Slate is no myth, a carbonated first, sweet dark malty stout, nothing particularly roasted here beyond a hint in aroma.

I won't be giving this one a raspberry sound from the lips, it's too decent for that. Cloudy deeper pink coloured. Quite sour, quite raspberry in a mashed sense, it's not directly the fruit from the bush. Excellent aroma.
