From tap at Fell Northern Quarter, Manchester, 28.03.25. 4.8 % ABV. Ebony. Dense and persistent beige head and lacing. Strong aroma and taste of coffee, pine, juniper and roasted malt. Medium bitterness. Dry and astringent mouthfeel. Good drinkability!

Cask at the Southampton, London on 18th March 2025. Almost impenetrably black with pale tan foam and spot lacing. Rich and intense coffee roast malt aroma. Coffee, bitter chocolate and lactic touches in-mouth, and a rich, roasty malt end. Full bodied with a smooth yet engaging mouthfeel.

Nice bit of karma happening to me with this beer, usually I get to Cafe Beermoth and the beer listed on their Untappd site I want has gone. Today, for this one it's just gone off after I have managed to order and get a glass of the fine pine based pale ale. Nice and crisp tasting too. Plenty of aroma

Were only making plans for Nigel, we only want what's best for him. Cafe Beermoth's latest plan is their 11th drinking beer incarnation, a tasty rotbier lager with sweet berry notes, transferring exceptionally well to cask form.

On first encountering Trondheim Cathedral I remarked how much it looked like the one in Lincoln. Only afterwards did I find out they were built by the same people. The lads who did it deserved a good brew just like this very steady mild, which has a hint of sweetness about it.

(Cask at Rake, Borough, London, 23 Nov 2024) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, citrus and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, apricots, floral hops and a mild herbal/citric bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a slight sweetness. On the thin side, but tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
