Half pint from the cask at The Royal Oak, Cartmel. Pours black with a creamy white head. Aromas & tastes of coffee, milk chocolate & roasted malt. Medium body. Smooth finish. Highly enjoyable

Deeper clear golden. Slightly deeper tasting, somewhat bittered hoppy brew, light tropical fruit notes, especially in aftertaste.

Keg @ Pelican Bar, Manchester. Light slightly hazy golden in colour. Ginger and lemon are in equal measure in both aroma and taste. Easy enough texture and taste

Hazy golden with small head. Tropical fruity with sweet notes, especially in taste, has a hoppiness too.

Keg @ Fell Northern Quarter, Manchester. Hazy golden-amber with a thin head. Good pine notes in taste, a tad less stated in aroma. Slightly watery texture but fine

Cask @ Fell Northern Quarter (formerly Pelican Bar), Manchester. Darker clear golden-amber with a head. Hoppy red ale aroma and taste, with a heavy hopped aftertaste in this respect too.

Cask @ Fell Northern Quarter (formerly Pelican Bar), Manchester. Black with a small off-white head. Robust roasted malts brew, especially in its aftertaste. Could be more chocolate in its notes given the name, but not much beyond its very gritty dark maltiness.
