A Golden Ale available exclusively in cask, Ghyll is our nod to the great British Session Ale. It drinks easy with some pleasant intrigue from Amarillo hops. Ghyll keeps us grounded and reminds us that sometimes less is more.

(Cask at Rake, Borough, London, 23 Nov 2024) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, citrus and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, apricots, floral hops and a mild herbal/citric bitterness in the finish. Light body, with a slight sweetness. On the thin side, but tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Cask at Ye Olde Fleece Inn, Kendal. Gold in hue with a white head. Sweetish and malt-led, but plenty of lemony loveliness in there too. Could do with a little more crispness in the finish. Very enjoyable nevertheless.

Hand-pulled half-pint on 14th April 2023; Left Luggage on the station at Monkseaton. Slight haze in the golden body, white crown. Decent blend of hops and malts, leaning towards maltiness rather than hop bitterness.
