We’re Fell, a small craft brewery with bars based in sunny South Cumbria. We’ve been making beer here since 2013 and appreciate how lucky we are. We love The Lakes and will always be firmly grounded in our local area and community. We like to think of ourselves as a progressive brewery, embracing modern styles alongside our own interpretations of the classics. We love all sorts of beers in all sorts of formats, with a particular fondness and commitment to cask ale.
We’re fiercely and proudly independent. We take huge pride in the fact that a Fell beer will always be the product of a small, passionate team who are committed to what they do and genuinely have fun doing it. Keg @ Gas Lamp, Manchester. Hazy, slightly orange-gold in appearance with a carbonation and a mildly sweet citrus tropical fruitiness.

Cask @ Pie & Ale, Manchester. Hazy paler golden with a decent head. Lightly fruity session brew, but a bit bland tasting too. It's nice and clean and crisp enough so feels good in the palate.

Keg at Fell Bar in Penrith - hazy yellow body with no head. Nose is orangey with some malty touch. Taste is harsh bitter orange zest with a tart citrus hop profile. Okay.

Keg at Fell Bar in Penrith - deep russet body with a short white head. Nose is malty and with a little citrus kick. Taste follows with a load of malt loaf and lemon peel. Decent enough

Keg draught at Crowd of Favours, Leeds. Dark brown and only slightly translucent with the tinest ring of khaki head. Sweet chocolate aroma with some hints of plum. Gorgeous sweet taste with underlying molasses and salted caramel alongside the milk chocolate. Light body with fairly heavy carbonation. Sublime.

Cask at the Fell Bar, Kendal. Very dark brown with a creamy tan head. Tastes of black coffee and chocolate with quite a heavy roastiness. There's a hint of blackcurrant in the background and a slightly dry finish. It's a bit too burnt for my liking, but still quite nice.

Keg at the Fell Bar, Kendal. Hazy yellowy-orange colour with a thin white head and a light fizz. Strong Earl Grey tea (well, apparently Blue Lady tea but they're pretty similar!) to the fore with some orange there too. Light to moderate sourness and tartness. Lots of floral stuff going on, and a hint of tropical fruit behind, but the Earl Grey was the predominant flavour throught, and worked amazingly (and surprisingly) well with the beer style. Some might say it's a bit thin but for me that just makes it even more refreshing and drinkable. I love Earl Grey and I absolutely loved this beer (as did others in the group). If you don't like Earl Grey-style teas then you should stay well away from it!
