Clear with a touch of haze. No head. Soft blonde.
Fruity, vivacious nose belies the foeder-aging. They didn't exchange lactic/malic/brett notes for the apple. Still fruity, bright, round and lively.
In the mouth it's not quite as vivaciously fruity, but still shows fleshy, red apple and more residual sugar than expected (mixing with a healthy acidity and landing on the finish). Not too much acidity, nothing harsh. Still preserves the integrity of the fruit with only slight oak accents.

75cl bottle. Clear gold. Fizzy head. Nose has smoke and apples. Like a campfire. Some tartness. A bit rubbery and the smoke overwhelms the apple a bit. Love the minerality though. 6 3 6 4 12

Aged 50cl bottle I bought to go from Max's. Clear gold with a ring of white head. Nose has tart apples and a little butter or diacetyl. Sweetness comes out as it warms. Flavor falls off a cliff though, sweet apples, light tartness but some fecal notes hit and hit hard. Dry finish.

19th Annual Lakes Region Brewfest. Bridgton, Maine. 4. ounce pour. Aroma is very mild. Similar to red wine with apples. Slightly tart, sour finish. Soft oak.

Tap @ Oxbow, Portland. Pours gold with a fine mist. Crisp, tangy natural wild feel with good sharp apple fruit. Nice.
