Description
A small family run brewery in the heart of South Yorkshire with the core aim of creating quality ales. We use no added sugar, all our ales are purely brewed with the finest ingredients. We have zero waste with all our left over malts and hops going to the local cows! Our first ever brew that has remained our most popular beer is New York Pale that was brewed to celebrate the New York Stadium Beer Festival. We actually sold out of all our beer in record time! We have several core beers with specials being brewed regularly to satisfy all tastes. Our core ales have accumulated some fantastic awards with our infamous Two Magpies Porter winning the Champion Beer of Beers 2018. In 2020 we also expanded to brewing a Helles and a Pilsner style lager.

Sheffield CAMRA Steel City Beer Festival 2024. Nelson Sauvin & Centennial hops here in this golden colored ale. Quite bitter in design. Naturally hoppy and crisp.

Cask. Chantry Inn. Not sure this was in top nick. Maybe near the end of the barrel. Light haze on a medium gold. Tight white head. Sweet biscuit malts and light grassy hop. Little bit of an unwanted whiff of vinegar. Taste followed suit really. Light body. Light bitter finish.

Cask. Chantry Inn with pater on a Friday afternoon. Clear gold. Sparkler induced tight white head. Fairly sweet brioche like malts with fruity peachy hop. Very easy drinking with some sweetness. Moderate bitterness to finish. Good, but I went on to the New York Pale after this one.

Cask. Chantry Inn. Clear deep copper brown. Tight fully lacing lasting soppy beige foam. Looks tremendous. Some light coffee roast malt. Touch of semi sweet vine fruit. Taste is similarly semi sweet. Nice twang on it. Super drinkable cask in perfect nick. Lovely.

Cask. Chantry Inn. Very pale gold. Tight white foam. Light citrus and semi sweet biscuit malt. Very light and easy drinking with decent citrus bitterness. Tasty enough and kind of a lighter version of New York Pale, but not sure it holds interest too much after the first pint.
