Description
Classic infusion brewed beer from @SheffieldTap, and decoction brewed beer from @TappedLeeds.
Established in 2012, making use of newly renovated space in the Sheffield Tap. The Tapped brewery is a 4BBL (Brewers Barrel) kit. The Hot Liquor Tank, Mash Tun, Underback and Copper are all insulated and copper clad. There are two 2000 litre closed conical fermenters behind the brewery, these allow us to brew the same beer on two consecutive days and ferment them in the same vessel. The fermenting room to the side of the brewery houses a further four 1000 litre fermenters for single brews.

Cask at The York Tap. Yep, itโs a bitter. Your standard brown quaffing booze. Biscuit, fruit, slightly nutty. Not bad, not noticeable really. Didnโt leave an impression.

Tap at Sheffield Tap. Hazy golden. Thick, bubbly, white head. Aroma is a tad earthy and fusty. Some citrus. Light spiciness. Taste improves things, though. Toffee sweetness, then a pithy, lightly tart character pitches in. The hop bitterness makes an appearance at the end. Medium body. Some oiliness. A grower, actually.

Keg at the Euston Tap - London. Pours mostly clear gold with a fine, white foam head. Pretty ho hum beer on the whole. Somewhat fruity with simply, sugary pale malts. Low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bready malt finish with berries and mild citrus.

Cask, gravity at The Snooty Fox, Cannonbury, (Good Libations Beer Festival) Saturday 26th October 2013 Light amber in colour but it is very dark in here so canโt be 100% sure. Hoppy, tasty beer just a little flat perhaps, i.e. lacks a little zest, but it is crisp with a pleasant citrussy fruitiness. I like the Mosaic and Citra combination it works well here.
