Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. Floral hops prominent in the aroma, plus some hints of corn and grain. In the mouth it has a creamy texture with floral hops and a main flavour of tangerine, but with some bitterness lurking underneath. Finish is dry with hints of citrus. Not bad but not wildly exciting.

Cask at Last Post, Derby. Pours a golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is mainly malts. Pretty much the same in the mouth – sweet malts and traditional hops combining very well. Some oranges, biscuits and caramel if you search for them. Malts again in the frinish. This is a pretty decent traditional bitter.

Cask at Great Derbyshire Beer Festival. Pours a hazy golden amber with a small off-white head. There’s some honey and malts in the aroma for this one. In the mouth it has a creamy texture and is slightly sweet. After a short while a melange of hops (floral / tradioonal / citrus) start to come through, along with some traces of honey. Finish is sticky and slightly bitter. This is a quite reasonable refreshing beer.
