Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington on 14th December 2012. Gold with long lasting loose foam and lacing bands. Hoppy aroma with floral notes. Crisp grapefruit hoppiness in-mouth, evolving into a bitter finish yet still with grapefruit tang remaining. Crisp, quenching mouthfeel. Very good flavour-strength ratio.

Cask-conditioned at the North Yorkshire beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol 13/12/2012. Golden with a slight white head. Hoppy aroma, with some grapefruit, tangerine and a grassy edge. Flavour had plenty more tropical fruit and solid, balancing malts, before a dryish finish. Good.

Aroma: Clean, fresh aroma of straw-like notes, vine tomatoes and grapefruit.
Appearance: Hazy golden body with a delicate white head. Lively carbonation. Slight lacing on the glass.
Taste: Light, fruity flavours. Not much in the way of malt character, but it’s very hoppy and easy drinking. Good bitterness.
Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice carbonation fizz.
Overall: A very hoppy golden ale - light moreish and refreshing. This is the second beer I’ve had from this brewery and they’ve both been pretty good. Will keep an eye out for their other beers.
