Can 44 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear yelow with a white head. Very neutral aroma, a tiny, tiny whiff of malt. Very, very thin body, a little cardboard but otherwise nothing but fizz. Christ almightty...

Intense sweet vanilla aroma. Quite a rich texture but with a light carbonation. Strong bitter cocoa flavour with an abundance of bitter-sweet roasted malt.

Bottle drunk whilst on holiday in Dorset, April 2010. Pale gold in colour, with slight carbonation. Sweet apple concentrate with a syrupy finish. Devoid of character.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Now I like Titanic so was looking forward to this right up to the moment that I opened the bottle and was assailed olfactorarily by the spice. A good looking deep russet colour with a lasting dark beige head. The aroma is somewhere between your grannies perfume and pot pourri. Not even the promised straight cinnamon a kind of sweet spiciness. Oh my god it’s terrible. Man, that has to go down as one of the worst beers I’ve ever had that doesn’t have a clear brewing/cellaring fault. No malt in the body, sweet spices, but not in a good way, thin in the mouth, some latent spice/hop on finish. Really awful. Almost like bubblegum in some absurd way. Wow. That is really truly bad.

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Deep gold with a dense cream head; aroma of lemon, ginger and cinnamon; the taste is rather unusual! - bitter and full of cinnamon with some sweet fruity malts fighting to get through. Not a good combination.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Golden colour, medium, fast disappearing, white head. Aroma of citrus, cinnamon, sweet malts, ginger, nutmeg. Flavour of sweet malts, ginger, cinnamon, citrus. Medium carbonation, light bodied. Fairly dry and slightly bitter finish. The combination of spices, sweet malts and raisins, citrus and bitterness is just wrong.

bottle at home ... deep brown ... almost sickly vanilla and chocolate aroma ... bitter charcoal up front ... lots of chocolate ... lots of vanilla ... and a bitter dark chocolate linger ... that stop the beer being sickly

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Pours deep chocolate brown in colour with a billowing milk chocolate coloured head; the sweet vanilla aroma is immediately apparent, but closer inspection reveals drinking chocolate smells as well; medium bodied and slightly oily on the tongue, the initial flavours are of bitter hops and richly roasted malts, taking me by surprise before the expected vanilla sugar sweetness hits; the finish is dry and slightly lactic. All around this is an excellent stout, and far better than the other efforts for Morrisons.

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Dark brown colour, tan head. Sweet aroma of vanilla. Flavour has vanilla and milk chocolate, roasted malts. Fairly bitter. A bit overdone and too sweet for my liking.
