Draught, Melbourne. Hazy light amber. Aroma is citra and a bit chewy. The palate is quite similar. Light, refreshing brew.

From a 500ml bottle on 28/9/2013. Pours a clear deep golden with a fine, smallish white head. The aroma is very pleasant - very floral and passionfruity. Taking a sip, this is all abut the Nelson Sauvin hops, with white grapes, grapefruit and passionfruit all there is spades. Thereβs not a lot of malt to report. the bitterness is big, dry and lingering. I think this incorrectly described as an IPA - itβs got loads of hops but itβs otherwise not typical of the style. The body is light to medium and the carbonation lively. The best way I can describe this is that it like a Knappstein Reserve Lager (an excellent beer in its own right) on steroids. A very fine beer.

From a 500ml bottle on 25/9/2013. Pours a slightly cloudy reddy amber with a medium head which dissipates quickly. The aroma features lots of fruity hops and heaps of toffee. The flavour is quite unusual with caramel and toffee malt, sweet dark and citrus fruit, some nuttiness, a bit of honey, and a firm bitterness with a bit of grapefruit in the mix. The body is quite full, with the texture quite slick, and the carbonation moderate. I wasnβt entirely convinced by this at the start, but it won me over by the finish. Very nice stuff.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Pitch black with a dense, tanned head. Roasted aroma with caramel and chocolate malts, overripe fruits, soy sauce and a vinous alcohol note. Taste is sweet. Full body, thick texture and a soft carbonation. Long lasting sweet finish with roast, fruits and a warming alcohol. Excellent BW with Imp. Stout references.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque, murky deep brown with a smallish beige head. Some chocolate notes up front combined with both hops and alcohol. Rich body, loads of chocolate, spices and quite some late bitterness. Lovely if not exactly thrilling. 130913
