Gweilo Beer owns 1 brewery:
Description
Gweilo was founded by husband and wife Ian and Emily and their friend Joseph, who each shared a simple dream: to create fun, fresh, natural, unpasteurised beers for the people of Hong Kong and Asia to enjoy.

We originally started contract brewing our Pale Ale, IPA and Wit beers in 2015, then in June 2017, our friends at BCI, who we met whilst home brewing in Hong Kong, acquired a minority stake in Gweilo and subsequently funded and managed the building of our flagship brewery, which opened in March 2018. We have a state of the art facility with a 3500L 4-Vessel brew deck, 115000L cellar, centrifuge, rotary canning and bottling lines and a lab. Head of Brewing Operations, Brian Leslie. Supporting him is an experienced team of brewers and packaging specialists. Now things are getting serious.

We have a Core Range of six beers, a Limited Range, a Collaboration Range and in time, we’ll be introducing barrel ageing and sour programs.

Our core range is true to our British roots, formed of session style brews ranging between 4% and 6%ABV. Keeping approachability at the heart of this range, we have a Pilsner, Pale Ale, Session IPA, Hoppy Wheat, Citrus Crusher and American IPA.

Our Limited and Collaboration ranges enable us to unleash our inner beer geeks and experiment. We intend to continually push the boundaries, brewing beers which take people on a journey through the wonderful and diverse world that is craft beer.

Can sample at a tasting at Ariel's place. Thanks troubles. Hazy pinkish yellow. Yeast, a bit of cherries, a bit of spiciness, floral notes, rather dry, bitterish note.

Bottle from Tai Kwun event at home. Very light slightly hazy straw yellow pour with minimal white head. Aroma is sweet light slightly peppery malt in a recognizably Pilsner way. Taste follows. Light with crisp mild earthy bitterness, biscuit malt. Champagne influence less detectable. Smooth low carbonated palate. Nice pils, nothing too special.

Tap @ Beer Boy, Nakameguro. Pours hazy orange, some white foam on the top, hazy, hazy, hazy. Fruity tropics, bubble gum and some lupulin spark in the nose. Taste is fruity but dry, good grassy overall feel, light bitterness, guava, grass. I do like this one, lupulin dust is not very strong but bitterness is quite right and lingers a bit into the finish. Tasty and satisfies, abv is nowhere to be felt.

Tap at Mikkeller Ari, Bangkok. Poured a hazy light straw colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light tropical citrus, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter, witn a light, crisp, fresh, slightly watery, light fruit, light pepper spice, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. A little too light all around and lacks defining flavours.
