Bottle from a Penang convenience store. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy light tan head. The aroma is light roasty malt, yeast, light perfume, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a grainy malt, mineral, earthy, yeast, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. It was drinkable, but barely. Better than the regular lager. I had hoped for more.

50cl on tap at Overtime Pavilion, KL. Pours hazy copper with an off-white head. Malty aroma with hints of spices, quite refreshing, but not exciting. Well balanced. Not so sweet and with some bitterness. Quite easy to drink, a bit light, but fresh and quite pleasant. Some bitterness in the finish. (2012-05-04)

50cl on tap at Overtime Pavilion, KL. Pours hazy white golden with a white head. Very fresh! Aroma of wheat and citrus wit light malt tones and some fruit. Fresh and fruity and quite light. Sime bitterness in the finish. Very refreshing and a nice break from the South-East Asian pale lagers. (2012-05-04)

On tap @ Overtime, Kuala Lumpur. Foggy yellow/orange body with a descent white head. Mild ester/banana fruity aroma, a bit perfumed. Flavor is light and refreshing with oranges, grapefruit, yeast, banana, spices and light malt. Quite straightforward light wheat ale, light in flavor and short on aftertaste. Sweet but not to sweet. I’m actually not sure if this is supposed to be a German weiss (as the pub has a German style image), but I found the orange flavor and spices strong enough to think of a low budget Hoegarden.
