Tap at the Hanoi Brewpub. Poured a hazy straw colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical fruit. The flavour is acid sour with a crisp dry tart fruity grainy palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at the Hanoi brewpub. Poured a hazy reddish dark orange colour with a thin white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is yeast, sugary citrus malts, light vanilla. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a fresh crisp, dry fruit, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A rather unique beer and I've never tasted anything quite like this before. Plenty of sweet strawberry cheesecake in the aroma and lots sweet notes in the palate and a big long bitter finish. I'd order another if the bar wasn't closing. This is like the UK in the 80's!

Tap from Craftissimo outside the store. Hazy opaque orange amber pour with minimal head. Aroma is slightly citrus pith (but maybe only suggestion) and malt sweetness. Taste similar - slightly citrus tart/bitter twang with sweet cereal malt. Some lingering citrus tartness. Not bad. A bit too sweet/rich for the style to my taste.

Tap at The Hill Station, Hanoi. Poured a crystal clear copper colour with a thin white head. The aroma is malt, nettle light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a cry crisp, fresh, malt, light fruit, woody nettle dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Better than the Jasmine IPA for me. There's much more going on in here.

(On tap) Black with tan head. Intense aroma of dark roast malt and coffee, with smokey hints. Medium body, smooth and creamy. Some smokey burnt notes at the start. Then coffee - slightly creamy, very strong coffee. Nice bitter finish, although black coffee and burnt sugar bitterness rather than hops. Very good.

Tap at the Hanoi Brewpub. Poured a clear golden colour with a bubbly round head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical fruit, melon, mango, some yeasty notes. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a crisp, light, fresh, fruity, malt, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Young, fresh and with lots of flavour. I'm no fan of the style normally but this was superb.
