Birradamare
Microbrewery
in Fiumicino (RM),
Lazio,
Italy 🇮🇹
Owned by
Molson Coors
Associated Venue: Birrificio Ostiense Artigianale
Established in 2004
We were born in 2004 on the seashore of Rome thanks to the love (and passion) for beer made with artisanal methods of our founders, Elio Miceli and Massimo Salvatori, who produced raw beer without any treatment at their Brew Pub located in Ostia on the Roman coast, right in front of the sea.
Then in 2005 thanks to the skills achieved, the experience gained, but above all thanks to the meeting with the master brewer Ioan Bratuleanu, we began to broaden our range of action by increasing and diversifying production. The great demand of our beers led us in 2010 to the opening of our plant in Fiumicino, a few kilometers from Ostia, effectively inserting us into the market of producers of craft beers with our brands Birradamare and Birra Roma.
In July 2017 Birradamare became part of the international Molson Coors group.

LOT 367. Gylden. Litt uklar. Middels høyt tett skum. God krydderaroma med innslag av tre. Minner om eik men er nok kastanje. Søt treaktig smak. Sevje. Uvanlig øl men ikke dumt. Pluss for flaskedesignet.

Pours hazy copper with a large, lasting head.Nose shows pine, grapefruit and resinous hops along with a fair whack of clean malt.Spicy hops at the forefront of the flavours, also some grapefruit and a tongue-coating chewy bitterness.Way too much carbonation.

Bottle. Cloudy amber with an inch of white head that fades to a lovely coat. Smoky singed toffee aroma with dried bananas. Taste is sweet and peaty with toffee, some over-ripe fruit, grass, some pepper. Started at about 8C - fruity complexities emerged but the sweetness started to grate. Still, interesting.

Pours dark amber with a fading head.Nose shows heavy peat with almost medicinal notes to it. Also a fair bit of sweet malt hinting at golden syrup.Sweet flavours, almost syrupy sweet, but with lots of peat following. Gets a little cloying.Too much carbonation.

Pours amber with a massive, growing head.Nose shows bold doughy wheat and little else. Just a faint vegetal note.Similar flavours but with the addition of some faint floral and herbal characters.Carbonation is off the chart. Impossible to drink at first, just turns to foam as soon as you take a sip.

Bottle. Dirty amber with a large off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, peaches, mango. Thinnish body. Peaches and caramel swept away by loads of grapefruit. Strong verging on crunching bitterness, a little pine and pepper as well as grapefruit at the end. Pushing it for balance.
