Description
Rudgate Brewery was established in 1992. The brewery is situated at the heart of Yorkshire in the Vale of York. The original brewery was situated in the former ammunition building of RAF Marston Moor Airfield which was home to the Halifax bombers that helped defend our country during World War 2. The name comes from the old Roman road of `Rudgate’ which runs through the airfield. This road led the Vikings along our vale defeating the Romans in their steps. This road and its history is what instigated the main theme of Vikings for the brewery. The brewery expanded into a modern new facility in 2010/11 on the same site.

Chestnut / copper brown with a frothy off-white head and a floral fruit malt aroma. Sweet fruit malt, cake like, with a dusting of floral hop bitterness and a bittersweet finish.

Cool Runnings is often misrepresented as being John Candy's final film. Clear paler golden coloured. It has a mix of feeling understated dryish tropical and exotic notes within a very easy cask texture.

I was expecting to have this at the Pendle Beer Festival next week, but have found it earlier in a Wetherspoon, so that makes room for an extra festival one! Clear golden with a small head. It's a hopped session beer, clean and crisp enough.

A Halloween themed beer drank on the eve of All Souls Day. Clear golden in colour with a thin head. This little devil is very drinkable for its ordinariness, a session ale certainly, with a small dryness, and a mild sugary-sweetness to its hoppiness
