York Beer Festival 2023. Clear golden and full-bodied. Its hoppy character has a sweetness about it with a bitter finish.

24/8/2023. Cask at the 44th Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours very dark brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, vanilla, roasted malt, dark fruits and nut. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Quite full bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Quite boozy and enjoyable.

24/8/2023. Cask at the 44th Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a small frothy white head. Aroma is malty, toffee, fruity, boozy, stone fruits. Medium sweetness, developing, with medium bitterness. Quite thick and full bodied with soft carbonation. Enjoyed this.

24/8/2023. Cask at the 44th Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours hazy/cloudy pale yellow gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is oaty, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, pineapple, pine. Medium sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Moderate body, slightly watery, soft carbonation. Nice aroma but a little lacking in other ways.

Cloudy yellow gold with a small, bubbly white head and subtle lemon drops on the nose, maybe a hint of resin. Moderately carbonated, soft sweet fruit and bitterness nicely balanced, with just a touch of tartness in the finish

Cask at the Peterborough Beer Festival 2023. Light hazed golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are big citrus and sweet. Medium body.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Misty golden yellow, white head. Sharp crisp citrussy pale.. nice overall but a touch thin.

Can from Lupe Pintos. Dark brown body with a thick beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of toffee, plum and caramel. Flavour of toffee and treacle. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is excellent, it’s Kernel standard.

Tap at mad Squirrel watford. An opaque black coloured pour with a lasting light tan head. Aroma is woody rich coffee, brown sugars, malt loaf. Raisin. Dark malts,. Flavour is composed of woody coffee roast, light tang, brown sugars, black forest gateaux, woody roast, dry roast, fig prunes. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, airy carbonation. Nice coffee character.
