First beers seen from the Y Bragdy Mws Piws / Purple Moose Brewery were at Worcester Beer Festival in August 2002. They were brewed at Moor. The brewery first brewed 14th June 2005 following the acquisition of a new site and a 10BBL plant formerly in use at Harviestoun. Expanded again in 2013 to a 40BBL plant.

Cask at Telfords Warehouse, Chester. Pours golden yellow with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just some hints of floral hops. In the mouth it is sweet, but with sour undertones. Flavour has mango, marmalade and floral hops, plus some herbal traces. Finish is quite bitter and slightly dry. It’s not bad, if somewhat bland.

Bottle, gift shop in Llanfair. Clear yellow golden, sizeable white head, ok lasting. Quite grassy nose, a bit herbal. Slightly sweet flowery and fruity notes. Medium bitterness, grassy with slight biscuity presence. Lasting aftertaste. Light body. Ok, drinkable.
