On tap at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A bright amber pour with a ring of greyish head, and some gentle carbonation despite a gravity dispense; floral aroma; dry in teh mouth with a big fruity taste, immediately bitter, with some caramel; then a clean herbal bitterness with a touch of spice, and a long fruity finish. Rather good.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A pale straw colour with a tight white head; bready aroma with a touch of citrus; sour grainy taste; and a dry biscuity finish. A thirst quencher but nothing more.

Cask at the Royal Standard, Wooburn Common. A pale chestnut pour with a thin beige head; malty aroma; smooth biscuity malt taste; with a dry biscuity finish. An old fashioned bitter.

Bottle from the Purple Moose Brewery Shop, Porthmadog. Dark amber with a thin head. Very strong with a sweetness, it's the barrel ageing which is very evident, which is the best aspect of the ale.

24th July 2018; cask half-pint in The Station Hotel, Oakengates Shropshire. Light golden body, white crown on top. not a lot going on really. Some light floral notes in the aroma and a light malty base flavour wise, bland or subtle, depends on your outlook. I suppose it's a light, refreshing summer ale, but it did nothing for me.

Bottle from the Purple Moose Brewery Shop, Porthmadog. Very dark red with no head. Chocolate is potent in its aroma, and you can still smell it with your glass sat half a metre away on the table. It’s a little thinner in taste as it’s not an overly strong tasting ale, with a slightly weak texture.

Bottle from Purple Moose Beer Shop, Porthmadog. Clear amber with a glow and a very thin head. Its strength is most evident in its nose, but it's not really that evident. Texture-wise it's very clean water with a good mouthfeel. Taste is hops with a very mild fruit with a metallic-malty edge.
