Cask at the Craft beer shop in Little Chalfont, Bucks. A golden coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Lemon, elderflower aroma. Tastes of elderflower, lemon, herbal. Soft and easy drinking, pleasant golden ale.

Geez this one almost slipped through the cracks I thought I was done rating my GBBF 2015 beers. Anyways, this poured a lovely reddish mahoganey brown with a creamy beige head of foam. The aroma was sweet bready and had a slightly tea like coffee cake quality to it. It was smooth & fairly full bodied with a malt driven flavor that wasn’t as interesting as the aroma. OK.

Handpull cask at the Dog & Doublet, Wolverhampton. Light gold, clear, a small bit of head encircling the glass. Sticks to the edges creating quite a bit of lacing. Fresh grainy lemony aroma with an unwelcome note of butterscotch... nice overall if flawed. Sweet taste with a bitter edge which fades over the course of the sip. There’s quite a bit of elderflower cordial in the taste, but overall it’s a fairly basic (if above average) golden beer.

17th July 2015: cask pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates. Bright blonde with a white head that produced some good lacing. Floral hop nose with a light malt backbone. Taste wise it was semi-sweet from the malts with a dry bittering finish from the hops. Decent.

Like drinking smoked sausages and cheddar applewood. I dig it. Some Islay notes too. Bottle share.
