Can 330ml @ gunnfryd. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, honey and hint of chili. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, chocolate, caramel, honey, chili and light coffee finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle to snifter.
Appearance: black in the pour and in the glass with a finger's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated somewhat quick and left a little bit of concave lace
Aroma: deep milk chocolate, sweet coffee, roasted coffee, vanilla, smoky and some woody/barrel tones
Flavor: starts sweet but opens up into a blend of roasty to smoky and sweet character with some toasted edges; finishes chocolatey sweet with the roast and light smoke
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper, good smoothness
Overall: nicely done impy stout well worthy of seeking out again.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: bright yellow color with a rapidly dissipating foamy to fizzy head and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: mango sweetness and a touch of tart with light sour/lactic features and a light passion fruit note, slight floral and funkiness underneath
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a fair sour to sweet and light tart quality; finishes mango-like with some passion fruit and sour tones
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper, light smoothness but also some sour/tart harshness to the tongue
Overall: for the most part, not a bad mango sour/tart ale I believe I could come back to.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark copper color with a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: white pears, subtle grassy hops, sweet earthy tones, light hay, and some funky to sour character
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas to a funky sour to sweet toned quality; finishes funky and sour with some light pear notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, good as a sipper, some sour harshness but also a funky sort of smoothness
Overall: isn't this supposed to be a sour ale? Seems like it needs it's sour level kicked in gear a bit, I mean this isn't a bad beer but just needs that extra kick to get it moving.
