Description
Since the brewery was founded, the Gemünder brewery has been brewing excellent beer specialties, such as the Eilfeler Landbier, the Ur-Gemünder Obergärig and now also the Steinfelder Klosterbier, following the best brewing tradition with the highest demands on quality and taste.

The Gemünder brewery is a progressive, family-owned company. It has modern facilities in all work areas. But we are always aware that technology must have no other goal than to make with the greatest care and craftsmanship the best of what hop gardens, grain fields and the good Eifel water offer.

Danke an den Doppelbock für das Bier. Fruchtiger Geruch.

11/10/8/8/8/9

Bottle (ruku libam, Sebastian !): Reddish-amber coloured, mid-sized off-white head, quickly diminishing to a small foamy layer; moderate sweetiscaramelly, a bit fruity nose with a diostinctive touch of toasted malt and illusions of hops; robust bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, a bit sticky; caramelly, a bit toasted finish, followed by a distinctive bitter "tail". A pleasant, well balanced Böckchen.......

Bottle. Thanks to Sebastian (DerDoppelbock) for trading!
Clear, amber body. Creamy, lightly brown body. Aroma of malts, caramel, honey. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour which is kind of out of balance. Lightly carbonated. Not too bad after all.

Huge yellowish dense head over light brown beer with orange highlights. Bit dry, quite leafy nose, bit of sweet German bread. Bittersweet taste, bready, nutty & leafy; very good, fine malts, bit roasted, caramelly without being really sweet. Sweet accumulates, however with drinking. Slightly sticky MF, even when this only manifests itself after some time. First impressions are drier. Nice Bock, pleasing, straightforward without being bland. And of course also profuse thanks to DerDoppelbock...

(33cl bottle - many thanks to DerDoppelbock!) Clear, copper colour with a small but stable tanned foamy head. Sweet aroma of dark, toasted malt with spicy notes of liquorice. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Aromatic malty, toasty taste with spicy and nutty/fruity notes; sweet malty finish with liquorice and a delicate herbal hoppy bitterness. The alcohol is warming and well-integrated. Sweet but also aromatic Bock.
