Bottled as Eifeler Landbier unfiltriert (thanks DerDoppelbock). Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is malty, hoppy and some barley. Flavour is salty, malty and a small hoppy kick in the finish. A bit grainy and grassy, but it fits in well.

Bottled as "Eifeler Landbier unfiltriert" (BB 11/2006). Hazy pale yellow, small head. Woody, dry aroma, maybe slightly yeasty too. Light, a bit lemony fruity with light hops. Unfiltering does its job but otherwise quite uninspiring.

Bright pale gold with good carbonation to medium airy white head. Grassy, pale malts, fresh but bit restrained. Slightly sweet. At first “dry-herb” as the Germans call it, but then with quite some sweet malt underneath. Archetypical Dortmunder to me. Warming up, some honeyish flavour, clover. Titillating, spritzy MF, not gassy. Light bodied. Decent Helles/Dortmunder. In comparison better than the other Gemünder. Thanks, Sebastian.

Yellow-golden, clear beer with a small, snowwhite head. Very fruity - greenery nose, lunaria, fresh garden herbs, inviting. Finishes more bland, rainwater-like. Rosewater (very watered), greenery & lunaria again, and a metallic taste - difficult to define what exactly, iron maybe, or something lightly galvanic, not copper. Very little else, bit pale malts of course, but generally not bad. Very light bodied, spritzy but not gassy. Extremely surprising beer - doesn’t taste at all like an ale, but then again, it has more from Almdudler than from Bitburger. It’s - different, and, IMO, so far the most interesting from this brewery.

White head, disappearing despite good pearling from clear-golden beer. Creamy nose, hints at vanilla and spices. One little hint at a dry-"herb" taste, then sweet pale malts, with a clean, "crisp" finish. Dull. No individuality, even when some balance is achieved. Light bodied, fizzy. Even if this hails from a small, timid local brewery in Germanistan, it tastes like a multinational "luxus" pils. Bweeuh.

Golden beer with a slight greenish haze; good fluffy near-white head. Initial vegetable nose with a vanilla touch. Later just some dusty malts with a touch of pineapple. Rather dry, herb, near-hoppy main taste, with retronasal typical flavour of hard wheat cereal, dry pasta. Little touch of citrus, finish is again more hoppy. Quite light bodied, bit spritzy. I would have expected something more lively from a 5.1% unfiltered beer.

Mäßig herber Antrunk, hellmalzig, getreidig. Die Herbe ist im Mittelteil auf dem selben Level wie eine aufkommende Hopfigkeit, das Bier wirkt erfrischend aber nicht besonders tiefgründig. Die Würzigkeit ist nur hintergrünsig erkennbar, verdichtet sich zum Abgang aber etwas. Stimmig, zum Ende ist die Herbe etwas isoliert, wenig bitter. Gelungen! 8/8/9/9/8/8

On tap (at the "Off the beaten track Kölsch Tour" with MoritzF): Golden coloured with a thin, white foamy head; very shy malty and - maybe - fruity nose; sweetish and faint bitter flavour, a bit sourish, fizzy; a tinge of grainy hoppiness in the finish. Drinkable and boring.................

(tap at a pub in Frechen) Clear and pale golden colour with a short foamy white head. Shy malty aroma. Slightly sweet malty start with a shy fruity lemon note, fizzy mouthfeel, thin bitter and grassy hoppy finish, slightly metallic. Quite boring Kölsch, drinkable according to its low price.

Heller und trockener, leicht säuerlicher Antrunk. Geringe und konstant bleibende Herbe, minimale Würzigkeit. Kein Nachgeschmack. 7/7/5/5/7/5
