Deep metallic golden with a medium, just off-white head. A bit grainy and sweet malt, dry-ish. Dry, grassy, pilsener taste but with a warm hay or straw flavour. Ends watery, empty even. Light, some grist at first, than fading out. Not very Spezial ...

Very pale golden beer with big bubbles to small snowwhite head, not stable. Vanilla volatile, CO², malt and grass. Metallic, light bittterish flavour over sweet, but watery pale malts. Retronasal some sweeter grains, contradictory as that may sound. Light bodied, watery, carbonation failing after a short few minutes. If anything, I have difficulty accepting this is top-fermenting. No Kölsch I know tastes so fully "Lagerisch", but this.

Very big, very fine & dense snowwhite head over clear (!) golden beer. Creamy nose with vanilla, sweet pale malts, and some dry grain dust. Just a tad hayish, but creamier than most Pilseners. Quite dry, grassy to hayish Pilsener; grain, summerwheat - the smell, not the sourish wheat flavour. Some sourishness IS there, but of another kind: very fleetingly, like fermenting grass. The very present carbonation reinforces this effect. Creamy texture but some quite dry taste. Light to medium bodied at best. I was wondering if this might be some kind of labelbeer for the Eifeler Landbier , but after tasting, I seriously doubt it. It’s drier in a different way. Thanks to Sebastian!

Bottle. Red chestnut, creamy golden layer. Sweet, berrylike aroma. Sweet, but not sticky malt base, fruity, berrylike notes, a hint herbs - very good balance. Full oily body. Thanks to Sebastian for this little treasure.

Golden liquid with a nice off-white head pours from the bottle provided by DerDoppelbock. Honeyish and aromatic hoppy aroma, carries over into the flavor, cracker malt, chewy, but feels a bit thin on the palate, maybe I expected a Helles after the first whiff. Dry herbal finish, quite fresh.

Bottle, thanks Sebastian. Pale golden, off-white collapsing foam. Fairly spicy and citric nose. Light, yet chewy body, citric base, harmonious exit. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle, 6.3%. Nice clear brown colour, stable light brown head. The flavour is quite malty with some pepper. There is a little veg in the aftertaste, but still quite good.

Bottle. Quite sour aroma. Hazy yellow colour, stable white head. The flavour is better than the aroma, a bit bready but OK citric and refreshing. Ends with a rough hop flavour.

Danke an den Doppelbock für das Bier. Frischer malzig getreidiger Geruch. Getreidiger Antrunk, der einem Alkoholfreien nicht unähnlich ist, aber natürlich nicht so penetrant. Der Vergleich zum Alkoholfreien will mich aber auch im Mittelteil nicht loslassen, die vorhandene Hopfigkeit ist akzeptabel, die Würze definitiv zu lasch. Im nachgeschmack tritt nach kurzer neutraler Pause ein Malzaroma hervor, dass durch den vorherigen Getreideton stark geprägt ist, leider auch von der Laschheit. Das Gemünder Hell ist ein trinkbares Bier, dass ich aber im Laden stehen lassen würde. Test vom 11.2.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,7,7,8,6,7 - 7,20

Frischer, angenehm fruchtiger Geruch. Dezent fruchtiger, extrem weicher Antrunk, absolut herrlich! Weiterhin malzig, der Alkohol ist hin und wieder schwach erkennbar. Ab dem Mitteteil leicht schokoladig, wenn auch nur kurzzeitig. Im Nachgeschmack ist der Alkohol zwar stärker erkennbar, aber immer noch nicht in störendem Maße. Malzig, vor allem aber sehr süß klingt das Bier langsam aus. Nach den anderen Bieren der Brauerei eine pure Wohltat! Test vom 11.2.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,11,13,13,12 - 11,90
