Description
Since the brewery was founded, the Gemünder brewery has been brewing excellent beer specialties, such as the Eilfeler Landbier, the Ur-Gemünder Obergärig and now also the Steinfelder Klosterbier, following the best brewing tradition with the highest demands on quality and taste.

The Gemünder brewery is a progressive, family-owned company. It has modern facilities in all work areas. But we are always aware that technology must have no other goal than to make with the greatest care and craftsmanship the best of what hop gardens, grain fields and the good Eifel water offer.

Pours a copper hazy orange amber with froathy white head. Smell was a grassy skunky aroma. Taste was like a freshly harvest grain.

(bottle, traded with DerDoppelbock) Slightly hazy, yellow colour with a medium-sized, slowly lacing white foam. Moderately sweet grainy. Cereal aroma with herbal hops. Grainy, malt-accented taste with notes of honey and a light herbal background, medium to light bodied, medium carbonation; sweet and slightly bitter malty finish with shy hoppy notes. I prefer the slimmer but better balanced Pilsener.

500ml bottle sampled wit Finn and CatweazleTroms. Unfiltriert. Hazy pale yellow body under a dense, rocky head. Fresh malty to the nose. Rich flavour of citrus, malts and hops. Quite refreshing after many bitter English ales at The St Albans Beer Festival (29.09.2006).

Bottle, thanks to Derdoppelbock for this. Hazy pale gold. Lasting white head. Yeast, some pale malt aroma, bit of citrus fruit. OK in mouth, a touch of cardboard in mouth. Citrus hops on end that show hints of zesty lime that I like. Refreshing.
