Bradford Beer Festival 2023. Extremely dark ale, with an alcohol-sweet heavy taste, with its alcohol also dominant aroma. Its overbearing with little else about it.

Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Sits deep chocolate brown. Nicely leggy coffee foam. Earthy ashy coffee bean. Bit of a toasted marshmallow vibe. Leafy ashy bitterness. Smooth and slick. Tasty gear with a lengthy bitterness.

Not sure about these collabs but the blurb on the side of the bottle suggests brewed at Five Towns. From Bier Huis Ossett. Not much condition on this. Lightly hazed, pale gold with a slim white foam. Sweet malt and lightly floral hops. Not much in the way of Belgian character. In fact not much in the way or anything. It’s pretty bland.

Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Nearly black. Super sticky leggy beige froth. Creamy chocolate. Dark chocolate. Intense vinous notes. Tastes sweet and milky first off. Gets big and roasty and earthy. Smooth and easy drinking. ABV seems a world away. Big roasty vinous finish. Nice one.

Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Light haze on a ginger gold. Good dense of white foam. Smells a lot like you might expect. Vanilla custard. Fruit. Brioche like bread. There’s a sweetness to match with a firm bitterness. Smooth and definitely moreish. Finish ends up clean and bitter. Works surprisingly well.

Missed the exclamation mark. Bugger. Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Hazed reddy amber. Good dense pale ginger head. Big bready fruity spicy yeasty notes. Blood orange hoppage. Big bitterness and some earthy character. Smooth and clean drinking. Big bitter finish. Some IBUs here.

Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Unclear light copper. Good white foam is super sticky and leggy and lacing. Nose has beautifully sticky jammy toffee malt and similarly sticky sappy juicy gummy hops. Surprisingly easy drinking regardless, with brisk carbonation. Didn’t want it to end. Great old school gear.

Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Mostly clear gold. Big ole swede. Had the alarm bells ringing but maybe it’s just a lively number. Old school writ large here. Floral slightly juicy hop on a substantial malt base. Bit of chew. Foamy carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. I can fully imagine dropping on this on cask somewhere (Wakefield) and getting upsettingly sloppy on it.
