Can from Against The Grain. Hazy pale golden body with a white head that fades. Fine carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grass, flower petals and grapefruit peel. Flavour of Turkish delight, herbs and lemon. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Crisp, refreshing and unique. Donzoko brew truly world class lagers.

That’s hugely drinkable from top to bottom. Nicely balanced pale malt sugars, lightly juicy citrus fruits, tangerines, restrained piney bitterness. The kind of beer that goes down very easily - especially when it’s around 30C.

Has a nice bit of snap to it. Clean bitterness, a little grass, husky grain, subtle dried citrus peel, crispy biscuits, a pine needle accent. Clean lingering bitterness. Mighty drinkable.

That’s a properly made WCIPA. Resinous and oily, good malt sweetness, sun-kissed grain, ripening citrus fruits, piney resin. Lotta breweries just slap ‘West Coast’ on a beer nowadays and the liquid is just some nondescript hop sauce. Really nice to have a brewery deliver a true WC offering.
