Can from Water Into Beer, Brockley. Aroma has malty dark chocolate with an underlying creaminess, cut through with spliffy herbs and a touch of bitter fruit, before coconut appears. Opaque dark cola brown. Creamy frothy light beige head. Charcoal/black chocolate bitter core. A sweet edged sour stone fruit streak. Spicy/herby throughout. The sourness ramps up into the finish but it's complimented by the bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Slick. A little lick of cream. Flat-average carbonation. Enjoyable - manages to find a fulcrum for the bitterness and sourness, even if it doesn't blow me away like Mig-29.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby – as 6.5% Pours a murky dark orange with a small white head and good lacing. A distinctive aroma of tangerines and nuts. In the mouth the taste is initially oranges, before mutating into bitter marmalade and melon. Finish is the expected yucky lingering bitterness of citra hops. Not my kind of beer.
