Stout with a short light brown head. Boozy aroma of malt and fruit. Taste has dried fruit, malt, a little toffee and dark chocolate and has quite a boozy hit to it. That sort of dominates the finish which is a bit of a shame but still, a nice rich imperial stout if you take it carefully.

A clear, reddish brown beer with a short while head. Slightly boozy aroma.of fruity malt. Tastes of fruit, malt, a little caramel, a hint of chocolate. The Maris otter malt gives it a feel of a British beer which is nice. Rich and warming, this is pretty decent.

Bottle from The Made Inn Ashford and drunk at home. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Coconut sorachi ace aroma. Very drinkable in mouth right level of pale malt. If you love Sorachi ace then you will love this. Good bitterness on the finish. Good coconut throughout. Just a touch of herb on aroma. Good.

Bottle from RAD Beer. Black body with a tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of prune, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt with a slightly boozy finish. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. The beauty of this beer is it’s simplicity; it’s a wonderfully uncomplicated Imperial Stout.

Cask @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Dark clear golden with a head. It has a dense heavy sugary texture without a notable sweetness, with its alcohol obvious and is lightly sticky-sweet in texture.

7/3/2020. Bottle at my Birthday bottle share, bought at Piccadilly Tap, Manchester. Pours clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma of Sorachi Ace hop, straw, fruit and soap. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Slight creamy texture, average carbonation. I like Sorachi Ace, this was ok but not the best in class.
