Light haze on this slightly dirty looking gold beer, small cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent minerally crispness. Sweetish malts, sweetish esters. The dandelion sweetness comes through loud and clear, the burdock is there but I feel there should be more. A light spicy bitter hop kick reminds you that this is a beer. Light finish. Amusing. Would like to see this tweaked.

Keg @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Straw-blonde with a head. Its rice is dry and there’s a stated herbal influence to its flavour.

Manchester Beer Festival 2019. Three hops but still called a hoppy couple than threesome! Hoppy as expected with a fruity taste.

Manchester Beer Festival 2019. Clear golden with a small glow. Easy-textured ale with a full hoppiness. Tried the bottle version bought at Drink? in Hebden Bridge in 2021 and this time its texture was a little fuller so slightly less easier drinking than I remember first time around.

Manchester Beer Festival 2019. Dark ale with its plum light tasting and its liquorice even lighter. It's nowhere near as dense tasting tasting as expected given its strength.

Black beer, thin ring of head. Smells exactly how you'd expect from the name, and fortunately for me the liquorice isn't overpowering in the flavour, leaving room for plum, chocolate and toasty malt. Decently rich and smooth too. Pretty tasty.
