North Riding brewpub. Cask. Seems a bit darkish for a bitter, guessing this is a mild. Clear brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Smooth palate, airy and with decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, mild dark character. Unsweet dark toffee and a whisper of coffee. Very mild roast bitterness. Floral bitterness into good ripe fruits. Smooth bitter finish. Bitter linger. Nice mild.

At the Brewpub. Cask. Clear amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is smooth and has modest fine carbonation. Smooth malts with a light creamy sweetness. Light caramel and apple. Bitterish pear. Orange peel bitterness contrasts with floral bitterness. Smooth semi dry finish. It doesn’t seem quite right to me (North Riding are human after all!) but it’s still quite tasty!

Cask. Gravity dispense. 42nd Steel City Beer Festival. Hazy, dark straw colour. Bubbly, white head. Nose has a cat pee Nelson twang. Notes of pineapple. Grapefruit. Orange zest. A lot like Lilt, according to TVT. Taste is light, citric bitter, with some dryness. Light, clean mouthfeel. Finishes up much the same.

Cask. Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield. Pale copper colour. Lightly hazy. Frothy, bubbly, off white head. Nose has leafy, spicy hop. Floral and lightly herbal. Sweet, cakey malts. Comes over a little oxidised, although I’m sure it isn’t. Taste is herbal, floral bitter. Some raisin like sweetness. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Herby, oily bitter finish.
