Handpull cask at London Beer Dispensary, Brockley. Light ruddy brown with a spotty beige head. Malty aroma, a little raisin, some woody character. Taste is very sweet at first, almost too sweet, then finishing nicely bitter. Light overripe citrus mixed in with the strong malty notes. Intensely good.

Can from their Christmas pack, given to me by my s-i-l. Aroma is grainy, malty. Jammy berries. Caramel. Opaque ginger colour. Foamy white head. Two layers. Top layer has tart berries. Bottom layer has sweet caramel and dough. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Long astringent finish. A sipper of an ESB.

Beers of Christmas box from my S-I-L. Aroma has juicy citrus and underlying grains. Hazy-opaque orange. Foamy white head soon disappears almost entirely. Medium bitter. Resin. Soon followed by a wave of sweet sugary clementine. Underlying earthy graininess. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Ermm... not overly keen on this. The bitterness snd sweetness don't balance.

2023 Christmas Beers box from my s-i-l. Aroma is spicy and citrusy as the description suggests. Also doughy malts. Opaque pale gold. Thick frothy foamy white head. Medium bitter. Quinine. Bitter citrus. Sherbert and spice, including sour edge. Underlying doughy malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Crisp and light starter beer. Nice.
