We are based in the most stunning setting, overlooking an expansive valley. Heath House Mills is rustic, picturesque and incredibly well placed. We have the best view in Huddersfield, and the inside’s pretty nice too! We have a large warehouse/taproom, depending on what time of day it is. This includes a brand new 8 BBL plant.

I read this as “Boddingtons Nod” ! Indeed it does have a similarity of colour to the late lamented Strangeways finest. Note this is a light mild – a style not recognised by RateBeer. Anyway, cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy / cloudy golden amber with minimal off-white head and good lacing. Oranges to the fore in the aroma, plus hints of nuts and malts. In the mouth it is sweet and quite juicy, with some underlying grains, and plenty of malt. Traces of honey and marmalade too. Some bitterness comes through in the finish. This is decent.

Cask @ Gas Works Brewbar, Manchester. Darker golden-amber brew with a frothy-bubbly head. Its rye is dominant here, although not the most flavoursome of examples, and comes across quite malty too, so maybe good for some but an acquired taste for others. Finely kept though.
