Description
We are Lord’s Brewing Co, a family business that just wants to make the world a better place, one beer at a time. What better way to do that than with quality craft ales? It’s no secret that there are hundreds, if not thousands of breweries with this very same mission, so what makes us any different? We strive to craft our ales to suit a wide spectrum of beer drinkers. Our ethos is innovation complementing tradition. If you’re a beer drinker, we will have a beer in our range to suit you. Having said that, you’ll probably like them all!

We are based in the most stunning setting, overlooking an expansive valley. Heath House Mills is rustic, picturesque and incredibly well placed. We have the best view in Huddersfield, and the inside’s pretty nice too! We have a large warehouse/taproom, depending on what time of day it is. This includes a brand new 8 BBL plant.

Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Mahogany and reasonably translucent with a small off-white head. Massive pine aroma, sweet liquorice, citrus peel and a touch of mint. Taste is sweet and a little grassy, not quite as intense as the aroma promised but still quite nice. Bitterness in the finish but it's never too extreme. An excellent BIPA.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark reddish brown colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty malt and ashtray. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, dry ashtray, big woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Possibly the best cask Black IPA I’ve ever had.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark copper with a medium sized frothy off-white head and good lacing. There’s quite a lot of fruit in the aroma, with cherries being prominent. A little malts as well. More fruitiness initially in the mouth with autumn fruits, hops and rye grians to the fore. Some underlying malts and hints of spices too. After a while it becomes quite bitter and sticky with a yeastiness, leading to a very dry finish. It’s decent, but a bit of an acquired taste methinks.
