Description
We are Lord’s Brewing Co, a family business that just wants to make the world a better place, one beer at a time. What better way to do that than with quality craft ales? It’s no secret that there are hundreds, if not thousands of breweries with this very same mission, so what makes us any different? We strive to craft our ales to suit a wide spectrum of beer drinkers. Our ethos is innovation complementing tradition. If you’re a beer drinker, we will have a beer in our range to suit you. Having said that, you’ll probably like them all!

We are based in the most stunning setting, overlooking an expansive valley. Heath House Mills is rustic, picturesque and incredibly well placed. We have the best view in Huddersfield, and the inside’s pretty nice too! We have a large warehouse/taproom, depending on what time of day it is. This includes a brand new 8 BBL plant.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a cloudy “bitter brown” with a small off-white head. Aroma is mainly autumn fruits plus hints of toffee. In the mouth it is quite yeasty with malts, autumn fruits and a little graininess. Soft carbonation leading to a sweetish finish. This is decent – plenty of flavour for its strength.

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival, first day. Shared with Finn. Black in the glass, bubbles on the surface, scattered lacing. Plain roasted malty nose, dry, inviting. Flavoured with dark bread, chocolate, and a backdrop of coffee to a rather short roasted tail. Pretty decent. (Nottingham 12.10.2022).

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a golden amber with a small off-white head. The aroma is mainly malts, but with a dash of marmalade too. In the mouth it is smooth and sweet with malts, oranges, some hints of citrus and underlying caramel. Finish is slightly sticky. It’s OK, but not an IPA by any stretch of the imagination.
