Taster at Alter. More orange in color, like a 3C APA. Nose has the usual note OF a Pacific hop profile. With a bit of added fruit. Taste gets even hoppier, but again it aims for balance with a denser malt profile. A decent double IPA considering it’s a new brewery.

Taster at Alter. Hazy and light color, sudsy head. General aromatic hop in the nose translates to a slightly lactic, but then dry taste. A bit more hop than in the earlier Pale ales.

Taster at Alter. Brown dubbed body, thin head remains after I finish the two lighter beers on the tray. Nose is a little high on the Candi sugar. But the taste is a bit more to style. Aromatic malt palate with sweetness coming more from malt than from any sugar I think might be involved here. Stone fruit notes, mainly plum, let this slip right down into me.

Taster at Alter. Almost as pale, and as hazy, as the cream Ale. Light sudsy head. Whether that was the intent on naming the hop, there is indeed a Mandarin orange in the nose. That’s the main component of the taste, too, instead of a lot of bitterness. The light malts in use have no problem keeping up with the hop. Light, yet well-balanced.

Taster at Alter tap room. The usual light, slightly sweet cream Ale smell. Like all these samples, kind of hazy, so minimal filtering involved. Taste has a pretty clean malt sweetness, and I thought there was a touch of corn here, but I’m surely wrong. Very light noble hop at the edge. Decent starter beer, considering the large "civilian" crowd here today.
