Tap at Borefts ’13, 28/09/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head. Nose is light fart, tarte fruit, spice, herbal, bread dough. Taste comprises yeast esters, boozey notes, sugars, dark fruit, spice. Full bodied, fine carbonation, booze evident in the close. So so Belgian strong, not much depth of flavour masking the alcocohol.

Keg at Borefts ’13, 28/09/13. Hazed amber with a thin off white head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is woody, spruce tones, tarte fruits, herbal, light hops. Taste comprises berry fruit, woody notes, spruce, herbal. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. So so - didn’t really have this as an IPA - traditional ale perhaps ?

28.09.2013, tap @ Borefts:
Completely flat. Aroma is red berries, oak, sugar, redwine, vanilla sugar, grass. Taste is very sweet, red berries, sweet licorice, sugar, oak, butterscotch, hay. Little bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Just a very strange beer.

Tap at Borefts ’13, 28/09/13. Mid black with a thin tan covering. Nose is roast malt, sweet sugars, chocolate, vanilla. Taste comprises sweet sugary rush, vanilla essence, chocolate, light woody barelled boozeyness. Full bodied, fine carbonation, sweet finish. Ok impy, drinkable affair but I’m thinking the small pour is a blessing, way too sweet and lacking balance with the roast and bitter aspects.
