Tap at source. Slight haze on a darker pale beer. Creamy head. First impression is a tad bitter, almost astringent. Mild perfume aroma. Lemongrass is not really apparent but those earthy tones are. Finish is a little astringent linger as well, not quite my cup of tea.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a bronze color with a large creamy orange-white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweetish and piney. The flavor was sourish and tangy with pine, tropical fruit and cactus. Long hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that left great lacing. The aroma was dry and toasty with a hint of hot pepper and a slightly odd presence I could not place. The flavor was butterscotch, toasty malts, cracker and hot peppers. The hot pepper presence grew with each sip. Long hot pepper and toasty malt finish. Medium body. Different.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky tan-brown color with a small foamy off white head that left good lacing. The aroma was bitter with rough fruity hops. The flavor was bitter, spicy and a bit harsh with rough fruity and earthy hops. Logn rough hoppy finish. Medium body. Meh.

The only beer of the trip that I actually liked. +++ Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a caramel color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded an left minimal lacing. The aroma was sour with cucumber and apple notes. The flavor was strong cucumber, vinegar, melon and apple. Long cucumber finish. Medium body. Interesting.

The flavor was malty with bread crust, faint fruity hops and a hint of toffee. Medium length fruity hop finish. Medium body. Not good.
