Kroger bottle. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is extremely skunky, along with some citrus and floral notes. Flavor is skunky - this is a brown bottle - with some funky stale hops, pine, syrup, citrus, caramel, honey. Meh.

Draft pour pint at Redhook Brewlab. A thick and hazy golden orange pour. Oily head, with sticky lacing. Nutty grains, some orange. But shell grain aroma. Harsh and bitter flavor all things considered. Too bitter to really enjoy at the full level. Not very smooth. I really thought I would like this one more.

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Normal pour for the style, dark brown, small tight beige head fades to skin. Aroma is chocolate, taste adds some burnt toast notes via the roast grains. Sweet lacto notes too. Mildly bitter, but finishes way too quickly, and seems thin / watery.

Food Lion bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is very perfumy floral - way too perfumy to be natural, along with some resin and stale hops. Flavor is floral hops, orange peel, stale funky hops, bread, mango, grapefruit, resin, pine, burnt malt. Meh.

Bottle (backlog 2014). Clear golden body with a medium sized, dense off-white head. OK fruity aroma of peach and tropical fruit with just a hint of malt. Flavor is quite plain and basic mild IPA with fruit like aroma, mild malt, hint of caramel and some fruity bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste. Easy drinkable, pretty straight forward.

Backlog rating. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of beige head that lingers, then dissipates. Roasted malt nose with coffee and light chocolate and berry notes as it warms. Roasted malt and coffee on the palate, light fruit character heading towards the finish. Balanced, light and easy drinking.
