500ml bottle at a drinking session in Tromsรธ. Amber body with a white, bubbly head. Moderate smell om flowers and malt. Slightly spiced hoppy flavour with a rounded bitterness in the finish (14.06.2008).

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown towards black with a lacing tan head. Mild roasted caramel malt aroma. Initial breadish flavour with a mild sweetness. A light bitterness shows through the roasted caramel and breadish flavours. Ends medium dry and bitter with a lingering roasted flavour with mild acidic touches from the roasted malt.

Cask-conditioned at Colston Yard, Bristol 1/6/08. Near black with plenty of ruby undertones. Aroma of summer fruit and dark chocolate. flavour started fruity before a slightly roasty finish. A decent mild.

Bottle from Morrisons. Pale chestnut in colour with a slight white head. Aroma and flavour dominated by red fruit and caramel. There was a touch of earthy hop in the finish, which was short and bitter. Ok.

500 ml bottle. Aroma of light stone fruit. Dark gold color with a good white head. Flavor is fruit hop over slightly roasted malt. It has a bit of hoppy zing. Finish is quite refreshing and seems balanced. Bitter builds along the edge of the tongue.

[cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] A traditional-tasting bitter, although quite pale for the style. A dusty stable kind of flavour with earthy overtones - made me think of Fullersโ beers. A nice pint this, I could happily sink a few.

Bottle, Bargain Booze, West Kirby. Bottle. Pours a dark reddy amber colour. Aroma is malty with some caramel. Flavour is somewhat lacklustre, malty with some hop bitterness, but verging on the bland, and a bit of a chore to finish.
