Small yellowish, rather dense head over hazy ochre beer. -1 point for slow gushing. Pure malt, fresh, tasty, faint yeast wafts, green leaves, summer wheat fields. Bitter-ish with a good just-not-sweetish malt backbone. Again those green leaves, bark. Hints of pine/resin. Gristslik - but light body. Finish is seriously bitter-resiny. A monument, IMHO. The Annafest goes a notch up on my bucket list. Txs to Joren for bringing!

Hazy golden/amber. Aroma is very fine grassy hops with some also fine malt. Very balanced. Taste is rather herbal harsh hop bitterness. Also quite minerally. Could be sweeter for my taste but still nice.

Fläschla: Almost black, presumably hazy (trüb), smaller off-white head, mild to moderate sweetish toasty-fruity nose, grainy and dusty background; mild to moderate - again - sweet-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied, pretty soft; lingering sweet-bitter - a bit drier indeed - toasty and fruity finish. Pleasant franconian stuff...

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus, Pffafenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Tuesday 9th August 2022 sat outside listening Nemone standing in for Steve Lamaq on 6 Music. We have Lax Pudding for tea tonight. Pours hazy burnished gold with a white head. Soft moutheel, a little honey sweeteness, some cereal, malty than anticipated. Quite good but the hoppiness is a little bit subtle.
