Associated Venue: Fernie Brewing Co.
Established in 2003
In 2007 we relocated to our existing building, designed and built from scratch. With constant growth, Brewhouse expansion, new products and revamped recipes, we’ve travelled through kegs to cans to 650ml bottles and into growlers, currently distributing throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and into Manitoba. As we continue to grow, we’ll never forget our roots. It’s as simple as Good Beer from a Good Town.

Pours with very good foam on a mostly clear yellow body, nice sweet hops on the nose with some soft weedy notes. Flavour is mellow malt and some good hops; mouthfeel is oily enough, some modest carbonation in there. A very good ISA, nothing lost from the low ABV and nice to drink.

Pours with nice foam and a good orangey copper body. Very good piney malts on the nose, lots of resin, balanced and smooth. Flavour is good malt with sharp piney hops, rounding out well into a good pale ale meld. Very good mouthfeel, crisp and good oiliness. A very fine pale ale.

Nice orange body and very modest foam, good dank hops on the nose, hints of pine and candy. Flavour is plenty of maltiness and hops, resin, great pineyness. Good oiliness. A really reliable macro IPA, malt is involved here which is great and unfortunately rare for the local scene. Hitting all the right notes here.

Poured into a Hard Rock Café Vancouver pint glass it has very good foam and decent medium gold body, middling carbonation again, big bubbles. I like those funky weedy pilsner hops and they're in spades here. Flavour is smooth grain, caramelly almost, sugary. Mouthfeel is too cloying, missing that snap of a crisp pilsner. Still not bad, good to crush a few in a backyard barbeque.

Nice deep brown body with purplish notes, very good foam. On the nose is soft faint biscuit, really too faint. Flavour is mellow molasses hints, slight caramel. Full mouthfeel. Very simple but also quite drinkable.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light tequila upfront, with light lacto and a hint of tartness. Flavour reveals lots of agave nectar, gentle tequila, and gentle tartness. Light tequila character here. Not bad, but a little underwhelming.

Pale and quite opaque. Fairly thick head. The aroma is nice and bright, fairly floral and tropical. On the palate, quite a bit of bitterness, still some juiciness, and the malts are decently sweet. It's actually pretty intense, though maybe the bitterness and slight oniony note in the finish aren't ideal.

16oz shared with Andrey and Alex in Golden Ears. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: floral, stone fruits, juicy, a bit sour and sweet. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: decent stuff.

Gold Creek Campground, can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy pale blond colour. The aroma is lightly floral. I'm not getting much from the malt, the hopping is mildly resinous and citrusy. A bit dirty in the finish. Ok.

On tap at Fernie, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of lime, with subdued earthy dankness and soft biscuity malt. Flavour is quite lime-y, with earthy, chalky notes and bready malt. Not a fan of the clarity here, but it's alright.
