Description
Eden was born out of a dream of better beer. The kind of beer that requires love and hard work. The kind of beer you demand; beer for people who aren't afraid to push themselves.

The harder we work, the more we can relax by exploring the beautiful landscape we call home and popping the cap on a well earned beer at the end of the day.

Can from Rheged. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Fawn head. Nose - coffee, green coffee beans, in fact. Taste - more coffee bean, very fresh, and a touch of caramel too. Palate - medium-ish in body. Smooth and rounded, finish is ok. Overall - not quite sure this is a sweet stout, but fair enough.

Can shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy golden with a thin white head. Low condition. Aromas of mango. I'm getting bored of these fruit beers now. Just seems lazy.

Can from Rheged. Appearance - deep amber, lacy and slightly off white. Nose - delicate but sweet mango. Taste - loads more mango, bitter orange at the back. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy middle. Fairly decent finish. Overall - mango incredibly dominant, this should probably be in fruit beer category, so difficult is it to find the malt and hops.

Can shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of passionfruit. Taste is also passionfruit. Not a lot else going on to be honest.

Can from Rheged. Appearance - golden amber with decent lacy head. Nose - tropical (passion fruit), orangey and apricot. Taste - creamy passion fruit, yoghurt, light pithy bitterness. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy and delicately bitter. Overall - is this the new generation of alco-pops, for the rich and sophisticated. Or maybe just the rich! If the main ingredients of malt, hops and yeast are ignored, I guess it's easy to make a beer more accessible to all?

Can shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours hazy yellow with a thick white head. Aromas of sherbet, preserved lemon, saline notes. Perfumed. Taste is too much lemon and spice. Lemon and cardamom. Challenging. A struggle.

Can from Rheged. Appearance - extremely lively. Lemon yellow colour, huge head. Nose - candied, but very confected lemon. Not sure if this is a sign of some unwanted sherbet from wild yeast problem, but onwards. So sherbet, always salty/mineral. In fact, preserved lemons. Taste - more salty preserved lemon and there's nothing wrong with this one. A bit of a lemon pith and more candied lemon through the finish. Palate - medium bodied with a lean tangy texture, dry tangy finish. Very long and nicely tapered. Overall - I really like this a lot.

Can from Rheged. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Big fluffy head. Nose - mango, apricot. Taste - lovely mango, passion fruit and apricot again. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Fairly good taper. Overall - close your eyes and this is not a dark beer. It's a blonde ipa with fruit. I feel a bit cheated by the fact that there are no dark malt notes.

Can from Tebay Services. It pours clear amber with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is soft, juicy, vibrant passion fruit vibe, tangerine, kumquat, soapiness, spritzy character and sherbet. The taste is dry, clean, bitter, zingy, pithy citrus, tangerine, definite passion fruit character, persimmon, lemongrass and just a touch of spice. Finish is firm and dry. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty thirst quenching stuff.
