Description
Eden was born out of a dream of better beer. The kind of beer that requires love and hard work. The kind of beer you demand; beer for people who aren't afraid to push themselves.

The harder we work, the more we can relax by exploring the beautiful landscape we call home and popping the cap on a well earned beer at the end of the day.

440ml can: BB 19th Sep 2020. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 17th Oct 2019. Murky dull orange, scummy head. I am all for trying new stuff but Yuzu and semi-sour citrus fruits combined, plus hops that have a citrus leaning, is too far for my delicate palate. I thought this 'bloody awful'.

Cask at the Wainwright, Keswick. Traditional session bitters are sadly conspicuous by their absence these days, so I always try to have them for their rarity value. This one's light amber with a white head. It tastes of toffee and twigs, with a mellow fruity background. It is in fact an archetypal session beer, and as such so much better for a mellow lunchtime drink or relaxing after work drink than all the bland gold's that dominate the market these days. In 2009 I would never have guessed that now, 10 years on, l would be saying I wish there were more session bitters around!

Can. Morrison’s. Seemed a tad underfilled, this. Hazed, dirty gold. Bit of white froth as a head. Nose has yuzu. Cos we all know yuzu. Lime. Pink grapefruit. Some buttery malts, unfortunately. Taste is super bitter, with a jarring, buttery sweetness. Light to medium body. Foamy carbonation. Jarring bitterness to finish. Smells ok, but overall this is grim.

Can from Rheged. Appearance - cloudy yellow to brown. Generous fluffy/lively white head. Nose - pithy citrus and tropical. Canned oranges. Very ripe but bitter. Nice. Taste - more of the same. The bitter citrus thing is confirmed in spades. Palate - creamy and dry through the middle. Bitter pithy finish which still is balanced. Overall - good gear.
